your existing speakers might already fit the bill (check their rating). however, if you like to listen at extreme volume levels (house party style listening) you will need high efficiency speakers. doesn't sound like much power but it's all about how well an amp gets the power to the wheels (so to speak). This amp can push roughly 5w per channel.
